Discover Deal In 48 Hours | Where To Stay | Eat and Drink

While travelling to Margate we stumbled upon Deal on a day trip but I knew straight away I was coming back for a long weekend. Just a few miles along the stunning Kentish coastline, this seaside town is giving Margs run for its money.

The Rose is a chic seaside destination with where we always stay when visiting Deal. The food created Nuno Mendes, the Portuguese chef with great taste, bringing quirky twists to the classics.

Above the restaurant are:

“8 eight unique bedrooms combine bold colours, luxurious beds and a mix of vintage furnishings. Every stay includes breakfast and guests are able to help themselves to tea, coffee, biscuits and a whisky night cap from the hallway bars.”

Day 1:

After booking in start with a stroll along Deal Pier, a historic landmark offering beautiful views of the English Channel.

On the pier you will find the Deal Pier Kitchen they serve brunch/lunch so check the timings before you go.

Explore Deal Castle: Visit Deal Castle, an impressive coastal fortress built by Henry VIII. Take a guided tour to learn about its history and enjoy the panoramic views from the top.

Dinner: We dined in The Rose for two night because we left it too late to book anywhere else! Although it is exceptional and this was not a hardship.

Below is what we ate over the two days, including breakfast which is included in the room price (except the bloody mary)

I am pantry obsessed and love stumbling across modern grocer. Arno & Co sells quality snacks & meals for home & the beach, everything has been carefully selected and you want to buy everything!

Take a short bus or taxi ride to Walmer Castle, another historic fortress with beautiful gardens. Explore the castle's rooms and relax in the tranquil surroundings.
